Testing, Commissioning and Energisation

Structured inspection, testing, commissioning and energisation delivered in accordance with the relevant DNO, IDNO and project requirements.

What is an Independent Connection Provider (ICP)?

An ICP is an accredited organisation that can undertake contestable elements of an electricity connection, providing clients with an alternative route to delivery alongside the local Distribution Network Operator. The completed adoptable assets are transferred to the relevant DNO or IDNO where applicable.

Broham Energy is NERS accredited for works up to 132kV, The precise scope for each project depends on the required activities, network operator and project-specific approvals.

Design is delivered through approved external design partners. Broham appoints and manages the designer as part of the overall delivery package, allowing the client to retain one coordinated project interface.

Yes. Associated civils can be delivered and coordinated through the wider Broham group, including cable routes, substation compounds, ducting, chambers, bases, reinstatement and related infrastructure.

Yes. Broham supports projects across the UK, with a particularly strong delivery base in London, the South East and the East of England.

Early involvement provides the greatest value. We can support power-availability reviews, connection strategy, route assessments, budgeting and programme planning before the project reaches formal tender or construction.

Our core sectors include EV charging, data centres, renewable energy and battery storage, industrial and commercial development, mixed-use schemes, high riser residential and private electrical networks.
